Serving Orange County for over 20 years, Dr. Boyce actually grew up on the East Coast and attended college and medical school at Columbia. He moved to Southern California to complete an internship at USC, and then returned to Columbia to finish residency at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute. After residency he returned to Southern California, where he has served as President of both the Orange County and Los Angeles Ophthalmological Societies, and President of the Garden Grove Rotary Club. For 12 years, he was the ophthalmologist for the Los Angeles Rams football team. Dr. Boyce practices comprehensive ophthalmology, including the treatment of cataracts and glaucoma. He actively teaches at USC as a clinical instructor.
Born in Taiwan, Dr. Liu moved to the U.S.A. at a young age and grew up in Irvine, California. He completed his B.A. in Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Summa cum Laude and was selected for the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He moved back to California to earn an M.D. at UC San Francisco, complete internship at UC Irvine, and finish residency at the Doheny Eye Institute/USC. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery at UC Irvine. Along the way, Dr. Liu has conducted and published many research projects. He specializes in cataract surgery, corneal disease and transplant, and LASIK. He also speaks Mandarin and Spanish.
Dr. Melanie Erb grew up in the SF-bay area in the Silicone Valley and later moved to Southern California, where she has lived since 1983. She earned her B.A. from UCLA and her M.D. from the University of California at Irvine. She completed Ophthalmology residency and surgery internship at UC Irvine, as well. Dr. Melanie Erb is board certified in Ophthalmology, with a subspecialty in Oculoplastic Surgery. She then went on to complete an additional two years of fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery at Eyesthetica, which is one of only 38 prestigious ASOPRS-approved oculoplastic surgery training programs in the country. Dr. Erb is on the clinical faculty at both UC Irvine and USC. She has given numerous national lectures and authored many book chapters. She has performed over one thousand Oculoplastic procedures.
